The short version
University of Free Knowledge is a free educational website. There is no account, no fee, and nothing to buy. Use it, learn from it, and share it.
What you may do
Read every folio, take the lessons and exams, and earn certificates — free, for any personal or educational purpose. You may link to any page.
What we ask
- Don't misrepresent a certificate you earned here, or forge one you didn't.
- Don't attack, overload, scrape abusively, or try to break the site or other people's use of it.
- Treat the lessons as learning, not professional medical, legal, or financial advice.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is." We work hard to be accurate and will fix mistakes when we find them, but we can't guarantee the content is complete or error-free, and we aren't liable for how you use it.
Content & credit
The artworks are public-domain artifacts (the Met, NASA, Wikimedia Commons), each credited in the Colophon. The lessons are our own writing, free for you to learn from.
